Local Wildlife

Wildlife is great for your garden! Not only does it help with pollination and enhance biodiversity but evidence shows that a thriving, wildlife-rich environment benefits both your physical and mental health.

There are several things you can do to encourage local animal and insect life into your surroundings. One easy way is to make sure there is food readily available for them. Having an offering for birds is a quick and easy way to increase the visitors to your garden. It is especially important to keep feeders full through the winter and spring months when consumption is high. We have lots of tasty treats for garden birds in stock, with clever squirrel proof solutions! From fat balls and suet blocks to peanuts and seeds, we can help you attract many different varieties of bird to your garden. We also stock food for hedgehogs so that you can ensure they are getting the right nutrition required for healthy growth.

You can also provide shelter. This can be as simple as planting trees and bushes that provide coverage and protection for insects and animals or you can even buy purpose-built homes. We stock bird houses, bug hotels, frog logs, frog and toad pond houses and hedgehog homes to really encourage local wildlife to thrive.
